Feature Request: Self-Updating Tag-Based Credit Lines
Add the ability to create a dynamic credit line that automatically reflects the total of items with a specific tag (as a negative value), similar to how credits or adjustments function in Movie Magic Budgeting. Currently, when I want to create something like a tax credit or rebate line in a budget, I have to create a subtotal of all items with a specific tag and then manually adjust that subtotal line (with a negative value) to reflect the credit. However, small changes to tagged line items are not automatically reflected in the credit line unless I manually edit the subtotal line. This means the credit is not truly dynamic and requires constant manual refreshing. My workflow currently looks like this: Tag line items that qualify for a credit (for example, “Tax Credit Eligible”). Create a subtotal line to capture the tagged items. Manually place a negative version of that subtotal elsewhere in the budget. Any time a tagged line item changes, I have to manually edit the subtotal line to force the credit to update. It would be great to allow users to create a formula or line item that references the total of a tag dynamically. This line should automatically update whenever any tagged item changes. Use Cases include Film tax incentives, Rebates, Insurance offsets, Refundable credits, Producer or studio offsets This would make tag-based budgeting significantly more powerful and reduce friction when modeling incentives or credits.
