Ability to Tie Export PDF Text Blocks to Specific Phases (Phase-Dependent Visibility)

We would like Export PDF text blocks (Header, Left Section, Right Section, Notes, and any custom text blocks) to be tied to specific phases rather than the project as a whole.
Currently, these text sections are global across the entire job. When we create multiple phases (separate estimates) and adjust the copy to reflect what is included in each phase, we must overwrite the text each time. This creates two major issues:
- When reverting to older phases, the PDF copy no longer aligns with the original estimate.
- There is no way to preserve phase-specific messaging without manually duplicating or rewriting content.
Requested Functionality:
Text blocks should be assignable to specific phases.
If a phase is visible in the estimate, its associated text blocks should be visible on the Export PDF.
If a phase is hidden, its associated text blocks should also be hidden.
Each phase should retain its own version of the PDF text content.
- Maintains historical accuracy across estimate versions.
- Reduces manual admin and risk of misaligned documentation.
- Ensures exported PDFs accurately reflect the scope of the visible phase(s).
- Aligns reporting logic with how phases already function in budgeting.

Hi! When you have created several phases, the NOTES column remains the same for all. Can be useful if we can have a NOTE column per phase. Thanks

Big fan of this. We usually use the notes section in PDF exports to explain what all the phases mean, but it's hard to keep track internally sometimes. Would be great to have the notes, and maybe have a setting in the export to populate those notes into the PDF.

It would be great to have separate notes for different versions/phases of the budget. This would be for both the line by line notes, and the overall estimate notes.

Great feedback Irene! We are trying to better understand how notes will get used through out the project as well as not create too many columns.
